Daphnée is a firefighter by day, and uses aerial arts as as fun self-care time outside of work.
This was an unusual shoot for me, not least because I had not shot a hoop aerialist before and had to really think about composition and lighting.
We walked to the location, studying the landscape closely and found some great parts of the woods to use, even setting the hoop against the yellow rapeseed fields in the distance.
We wanted the shoot to be ethereal and have a fantasy edge, so we used the light and planned to edit in post-production to give the extra magical feel we were looking for.
